Recipe for cuteness:

Take one handsome (if I do say so myself!) three year old little boy dressed up in his Sunday's best, one old chair, one field of tall grass, and one glorious day. Mix together with fun, laughter, and time to smell the roses...er, um tall grass. Photograph to heart's content and enjoy for a lifetime!!! Hope you had a great weekend!! ;) ~R

This one (above) is SO my desktop wallpaper right now!!! LOVE it!! He's my little farmer man, so handsome - just like his daddy! He kept calling the seeds he was finding "wheat"...too cute!

Thanks for stopping ;) Also next post trivia: What is really really tall, spotted, and lives on the African plains (I think!)???? Check back in a couple of days to find out! Also, sneak peeks from this past weekend will start going up THURSDAY!!!! Stay tuned!! Love, ~R

A once in a lifetime moment

comes so fast, so quickly sometimes. That is so true in wedding photography. Not only is the whole day irreplaceable, but so important too are the little moments...the fleeting smiles, the heads bowed in prayer, the laughs that come from a place of such joy deep down within. In photography I realize that sometimes I don't even realize that I've caught one until later and rejoice when I've found it!! This shot is one that I treasure...the beauty of a father/daughter moment captured for a lifetime... ;)

Yes I know :::GASP::: What? Not every shot was "on purpose or carefully planned??!?!?" well...no...and that's the beauty of it...just as you can't plan every single second of the day I can't have every shot exactly planned....and it's my pleasure to catch the in-between...you know...the "life" as it happens...through my lens... ;)

In the blink of an eye....

my boys are going to look like this! sniff sniff...:) (Well Ihope they do when that time comes anyway! They sure are fine looking young men.) These boys are actually in....8TH GRADE!! I told their moms these look like more like senior photos than 8th grade photos! And if you didn't notice they are best friends. Our goal was to capture separate portraits and then a some images together that celebrated their friendship. Well, I didn't have to work that hard ;) it's obvious they are best friends! Anyway, these two country boys are farmers at heart and truly do come from families that make my heart fond of where my husband grew up. Thank you so much S and P - your boys are growing up to be fine young men! I wish many blessings to all of you!
